1. Requirements for the external
environment:
The flow meter is best installed indoors. When it must be installed
outdoors, measures must be taken to prevent sun, rain, and lightning to avoid
affecting the service life. The flow meter should be installed in a place that
is easy to maintain and free from strong electromagnetic interference and heat
radiation.
2. Requirements for bypass pipes:
In order to ensure that normal production will not be affected
during maintenance of the flow meter, cut-off valves (stop valves) should be
installed on the pipes before and after the flow meter, and bypass pipes should
be set up at the same time. The flow control valve should be installed
downstream of the flow meter. When the flow meter is used, the stop valve
installed upstream must be fully open to avoid unstable flow of fluid in the
upstream part.
3. Requirements for straight pipe sections:
The flow meter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the
pipe inclination is within 50°). During installation, the axis of the flow
meter should be concentric with the axis of the pipeline, and the flow
direction should be consistent. The length of the upstream pipe of the flow
meter should be a straight pipe section of equal diameter not less than 2D. If
the installation site allows, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe
section be 20D and the downstream straight pipe section be 5D. The inner
diameter of the piping upstream and downstream of the flowmeter installation
point must be the same as the inner diameter of the flowmeter.
4. Requirements for impurities contained in
the medium:
In order to ensure the service life of the flow meter, a filter
should be installed in front of the straight pipe section of the flow meter.
5. Requirements for installation and
welding:
When installing a flow meter (such as a vortex flow meter), the user
needs to add a pair of standard flanges welded to the front and rear pipes.
Welding with a flow meter is not allowed! During installation, the sealing
gasket between flanges cannot be recessed into the pipe. Before installing the
flow meter, welding slag and other dirt in the pipeline should be strictly
removed. For debris, welding slag, stones, dust, etc. in the pipeline, it is
recommended to install an automated filter with a 5-micron mesh upstream to
block droplets and sand. . It is best to use equal diameter pipes (or bypass
pipes) instead of flow meters to purge the pipes. To ensure that the flow meter
is not damaged during use.
6. Flow meter grounding requirements:
The flow meter should be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with
the ground wire of the strong current system.
7. Requirements for explosion-proof
products:
For the safe and normal use of flowmeters (such as electromagnetic
flowmeters), it is necessary to review whether the use environment of the
explosion-proof flowmeter complies with the user's explosion-proof
requirements. During installation and use, the national requirements for the
use of explosion-proof products should be strictly followed. Users are not
allowed to Change the connection method of the explosion-proof system and do
not open the instrument at will.
8. Requirements for flow range: Select the
model within the specified flow range to prevent overspeed operation to ensure
ideal accuracy and normal service life.
